About Cruising for Causes
What is Cruising for Causes?
Cruising for Causes is a standards-based education and certification organization that helps 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, travel professionals, and agencies responsibly plan and execute cruise-based fundraising initiatives. Rather than selling trips or promising financial outcomes, Cruising for Causes™ provides structured training, decision-making frameworks, and readiness assessments that emphasize ethics, compliance, and organizational accountability.
Through its certification program, Cruising for Causes equips leaders to evaluate risk, protect donor trust, and align experiential fundraising with mission, legal, and financial responsibilities. The organization exists to elevate how cruise fundraising is approached across the nonprofit sector by setting clear expectations, reinforcing governance, and promoting sustainable, well-managed fundraising practices.

The mission of Cruising for Causes is to help travel agencies, travel agents, non-profits, and other organizations, across the country by educating them on the opportunities in fundraising cruises and events trough comprehensive and professional training.

Cruising for Causes provides 501(c)(3)nonprofit organizations, travel agents, and travel agencies with a clear, disciplined framework for determining whether a cruise-based fundraiser is appropriate, compliant, and aligned with mission and professional responsibilities before resources are invested. Annual Scholarship Awards
The Cruising for Causes Scholarship fundraising program helps us fund scholarships for at risk students. Participant will have the option to attend any accredited 2 - 4 year Historically Black Colleges or Universities.

Our goal is to bring people together through purpose-driven cruises that not only raise funds but also strengthen connections among individuals, organizations, and the causes they care about. Additionally, we are building a national network of trained cruise travel agents who specialize in nonprofit and group travel, helping expand access to these opportunities in underserved areas.
